Reports to the Steward. Works in the galley and primarily responsible for the cleanliness of the mess decks and galley; collects and distributes linen under direction of the Steward; may assist supervisor in preparation of meals.

This is a temporary, casual, non-exempt position, and is eligible for casual benefits. Must have STCW Able Seafarer Deck, RFPNW, VPDSD. This position begins May 23,2024.
Reporting to the Master, Chief Mate, or Deck Watch Officer, stands bridge watch as Quartermaster or lookout when underway. Under supervision of the Bosun maintains interior and exterior spaces and deck equipment, and operates machinery during loading of stores and scientific operations.

Reports to the Steward; Assists Steward in preparation of menus and daily meals; Assists Steward in maintenance of adequate inventory, and preparation of requisitions. Works with Steward and Mess Attendant to insure sanitary conditions of the galley and all departmental spaces.

Reporting to the Engineering Officer on Watch, assists engineers with the proper operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment, performs general engine room duties, and stands watches.
