Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution is currently searching for a temporary relief Second Assistant Engineer to join the Ship Operations Department. This is a temporary, casual, non-exempt position, and is eligible for casual benefits.   Reporting to the Chief Engineer, is responsible for the proper operation, maintenance, condition, and safety of engine room equipment, machinery, and spaces; and is Engineering Watch Officer at sea.

This is a temporary, casual, non-exempt position, and is eligible for casual benefits.   Reports to the Steward; Assists Steward in preparation of menus and daily meals; Assists Steward in maintenance of adequate inventory, and preparation of requisitions. Works with Steward and Mess Attendant to insure sanitary conditions of the galley and all departmental spaces.

This is a temporary, full-time, non-exempt position, and is eligible for casual benefits.   Reporting to the Master; is the head of the Steward Department; In charge of the galley and assigned galley personnel (Cook and Mess Attendant). Responsible for overall operation of the mess with close attention to cost control and quality standards; is responsible for maintaining sanitary condition of all departmental spaces.

This is a temporary, casual, non-exempt position, and is eligible for casual benefits.   Reporting to the Engineering Officer on Watch, assists engineers with the proper operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment, performs general engine room duties, and stands watches.

This is a temporary, casual, non-exempt position, and is eligible for casual benefits.   Reports to the Steward. Works in the galley and primarily responsible for the cleanliness of the mess decks and galley; collects and distributes linen under direction of the Steward; may assist supervisor in preparation of meals.

Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution is currently searching for a temporary relief Second Mate to join the Ship Operations Department. This is a temporary, casual, non-exempt position, and is eligible for casual benefits.   Reporting to the Master, is a watch officer in the Deck Department and assists the Master and Chief Mate with duties; designated the ship's navigation officer, maintains all navigation equipment, publications, charts, and prepares information for the bridge.

This is a temporary, casual, non-exempt position, and is eligible for casual benefits.    Reporting to Chief Engineer/First Assistant, assists with the proper operation, maintenance, and repair of electrical equipment and systems on the R/V Neil Armstrong and R/V Atlantis; and assists scientific personnel in using shipboard power.
